The Scope’s 2008 Breakfast Face Off Results:
$12 for traditional breakfast with free coffee refills. Served weekends 12pm-3pm. Recommended breakfast: Breakfast Burrito, which is oven baked. Price includes tax.

Very good yam fries! Or sweet potato. Or whatever the kids are calling them these days.

I always get the Cod Au Gratin and side salad. Comes in a huge lasagna boat with a huge salad for super cheap. Next to my mom’s I would say it may be the best Cod Au Gratin around.

Been there often enough, nice bar. Had food here for the first time the other day. Fish and Chips with dressing and Gravy. Gotta say it was well prepared, good portion size, and a good price. The best food is found in a place with no table cloth a more than three beers on tap as far as I am concerned. I would like to try more food there, have heard good things and am intrigued by the sound of that Breakfast Burrito.

Losing enthusiasm for the ship since non-deepfried options were removed from the menu. Was it so hard to offer a club sandwich?

Gone downhill I am sad to say, the food is hit or miss I find these days. The service is still excellent and I still give it a chance, I hope they find they’re legs though!

Been there several times over the last week. Always try something different from the menu. Each time I was pleasantly surprised. If you happen to have fries with your order there will likely be more than you can eat. Salads are wonderful and large. Staff is friendly, service good. The various offerings on tap from Quidi Vidi Brewery are excellent. Locals add flavour to the mix.
