What is that song?!

Ok, this is driving me crazy. I heard a song on OZ FM a couple of weeks ago that sounded definatley Canadian, probably from NL.

Normally I look things up by using the lyrics, but I can’t remember many of them…the song was so good I assumed I would hear it again so I didn’t take note of the lyrics, I just enjoyed the song.

The song was a rock song about a guy living in Alberta and worried about whether he was losing his heritage…there was a little part towards the end with a fiddle or ukelele…it is a new song.

It sounded very cool, kind of like Matt Mays meets Queen of the Stone Age. The main chorus as I remember it sounded kind of like, “Have I lost. my. mind.” and so on.

I know this is so vague as to invite ridicule, but I really just want to know the song, and I’m sure someone knows it.

Please help!

I’m pretty sure it’s about coal mining in Medicine Hat, which may or may not make it more awesome.

  7. Morgan Murray · January 18, 2013

I think it’s about gas. Medicine Hat has a lot of gas.

    Rudyard Kipling reference. Google it.
