Snowboarding in St. Johns area?

asked this question on Friday at 9 pm.

I recently got a snowboard and am looking for hills in C.B.S., where I live, or St. Johns, where I go to school. I know about Bowering and Vic Park. There’s also a hill behind Marine Institute that I’d like to get to, it looks like it’s on the golf course? Any suggestions would be great!

Vic park is where the crowds are at night. Very Social.

People also go to Admirals Green at Pippy Park, the golf course you mentioned. You may get kicked out however.

The Admiral’s Green hole 17 is fantastic, though a bit of a stretch for many to get to. I’ve never been kicked off during winter. It is a very long walk back to the top.

Victoria Park is where most people go. Plenty of people build up kickers and ramps, and it’s really relaxed and sociable.

I used to go to the fields at the far west end of Blackmarsh Road. The fields aren’t the best but there are a few other clearings and paths further up the hill. You can actually hike all the way up to the tower at the top and ride all the way down to the road if you can find the right spot. Good luck! Also, I know people used to go up to southside hills.
