My new favourite chinese place in town. Excellent egg rolls, rice, lemon chicken, chicken balls, soo guy, guy ding and beef and broccoli. Generous portions. Has a buffet but haven’t tried that. It’s like the Chinese food I remember as a kid. Delish!

Some friends of mine told me “the best won ton soup in town”. They lied; It was composed of powdered chicken stock, flavorless won tons and complimentary green onion, which was the highlight of the dish.
Next was the lemon chicken, nothing more then chicken meat breaded in what tasted like old fashioned doughnut crumbs, fried and topped with the standard lemon sauce which turned the dish into a soggy mess(did I forget to mention that this was served on top of warm wilted lettuce?!?).
Last but not least was the almond guy ding. Almonds, nicely cooked veg(broccoli, celery, green pepper, and carrot) and chicken(cartilage included, as I was unfortunate enough to discover the hard way.) in a salty starch based sauce.
As mentioned in the review above, the portions WERE generous.. but I really wish they hadn’t been.

Have often had takeout from here but never the buffet until today, mostly because I haven’t had good experiences with Chinese buffets. Definitely not the biggest game in town, but I personally would rather have a smaller selection of delicious food to choose from than a whole bunch of garbage. Beef and broccoli with lots of veggies and beef, General Tso chicken, black bean chicken, and then the standards like ribs, rice, noodles, S&S chicken balls, egg rolls, chow mein etc plus others I can’t remember. The desserts were pretty good too. Not a huge selection again, but the chocolate cake I had was really good. Beverages not included. Plus they refill the buffet often due to smaller serving trays so food is always fresh, and if something isn’t there, they are probably just bringing out a fresh one. They seem pretty fast on the refills and nothing tasted like it had been sitting.

If you are looking for a Canadian-style Chinese buffet – this is definitely the best in town.
Smaller but lots to eat and much fresher and much more flavourful than those huge ones that try to wow you with quantity.
We were seriously impressed with this little place for chinese buffet and have been back several times.
Now if only we could get an authentic Chinese place that would serve dim sum!!!!!!!

Great take-out; usually my first pick, when I want Chinese to go. Fresh tasting food, friendly staff.
