Overwhelmed with everything.

I have a 15 month old child. It was an unplanned pregnancy. Through the course of my pregnancy, my social circle essentially dropped off the face of the planet and began to do really hurtful things behind my back. I’ve dealt with that but I still feel very alone. My baby’s father and I just […]

A GEM. Located on Portugal Cove Road shortly before you come to the Bell Island Ferry. Tucked in a little off the road, this UNIQUE restaurant feels like you are eating in the home of a dear friend. Delicious food, creative decor (things to look at on every wall!) and attentive staff. The food is organic and local. Highly recommended for a new dining experience!

Quirky, local organic deliciousness. Short daily menu but still difficult to decide. Check times, not certain if open for dinner — went for a late lunch and the kitchen was about to close.

The owner was great with kids — provided paper and washable markers. Our group had the daily soup (carrot curry and coriander), pan fried cod (perfectly fresh, perfectly cooked), seafood chowder and a salad of the local greens (best I’ve had all year and local too). Raves all around.
