Call of Duty 4

Game Review:
Call of Duty 4 (2007)

It depends on what you want: Plot? Pass. Activision has produced a single player game that has a story that smacks of pulpy ‘close-to-the-end-of-the-world’ Tom Clancyness. Looking for replay value? Pass. The single-player campaign will take any player worth their salt about six hours (six!) to finish. If it wasn’t for the maddeningly addictive and inventive multiplayer build, I’d say pass altogether. But CoD4 multiplayer rewards those who put time in, but still manages to make newcomers feel involved, rather than hopelessly outmatched. The result is a multiplayer experience you haven’t seen since Counterstrike. If you have an internet connection, go buy it. If not, go rent it. For six hours.
