Stop complaining about St. John’s! Why do you live here?

Everytime I read one of these rants I just get more and more annoyed.

I don’t know if it’s listening to other people complain or if its the STUPID things they’re complaining about. All I know is that I should spare myself the irritation and stop reading them!

For one:

Stop complaining about St. John’s! Why do you live here?

Solomon’s Lane

The artists, musicians, and writers you see in the wee hours are merely carrying the area’s tradition of making and breaking the rules—a tradition which began back in the 1900s, when the Times newspaper took over the building that once stood in the empty parking lot below The Ship.

Complaining is the germ from which change springs; we live here because we love it here, we complain because like the humans we are we want to change and better that which we love.

We complain because we love this city, and by not wearing rose colored sunglasses we can see what we can be if people would just change their mindset.

I just moved here from the US a month ago. I dont have any complaints. Most people seem pretty nice the nightlife is booming. Not a bad deal for a 35 year old new divorcee.
