“You Don’t Want My Lovin’” by People on Pause

Dec 26, 2012

People on Pause began life as collaboration between AE Bridger and Justin Guzzwell when they released their eponymous debut as part of the 2010 RPM Challenge. Since then Alex and Justin have expanded the project into a full-blown band, including drummer Steve Cowan (Surgeon), vocalist and visual artist Deidre Driscoll, “The Melt” on bass, and Chang Ling (aka Daniel Howse of Ye-Yeti) on synths. The band is currently based out of Montreal but will be home in St. John’s on Friday (Dec 28th) to perform at The Ship where they will be releasing their new EP Registrar’s Lobby. Thee Internet will also be there.

Today’s track, “You Don’t Want My Lovin’”, was penned by Justin Guzzwell. It’s piano-driven pop and punk angst combined with his trademark solo sound from albums like Gamut Street (2011). Drop by The Ship on Saturday (Dec 28th) to hear more new music from People on Pause and Thee Internet.
