This Thursday (Oct 11th) local music videographer team Heavy Weather will be hosting an evening of live music and film at The Ship. A Night With Heavy Weather will consist of live sets from six incredible local acts: East of Empire, Hear/Say, Sherry Ryan, Joanna Barker, Steve Maloney and Andrew James O’Brien. Each artist’s performance will be followed by the premier of a new Heavy Weather video of that particular act. The event is part of MusicNL week, which kicks off tonight with festivities at The Ship.

Advance tickets for A Night With Heavy Weather are $12 and can be picked up at Fred’s Records, the MusicNL office or by e-mail at info@heavyweather. Today’s video, “West Street Serenade” by Andrew James O’Brien and Catherine Allan also comes to us courtesy of Heavy Weather. You can see more of Andrew James O’Brien with his band The Searchers this Saturday (Oct 13th) at The Rock House as part of the MusicNL week’s free showcase along with other great local acts like The Thymes, The Navigators, Sean Panting, Monsterbator and At Ship’s End.
