Upcoming local CD releases

As soon as the starlings have begun nesting in your neighbour’s roof and started getting ready to lay some eggs, bands in St. John’s are ready to launch fresh CDs.

Here are a just a few of the spring albums and demos we’re stoked about.

By Alex Pierson, Elling Lien, and Colin Browne

It features Bill Brennan (Rhodes), Mike Downes (double bass) and Mike Murley (tenor saxophone) and is produced by Glen Tilley. Pat will return to St. John’s in early June for a show at The Ship on June 1st, and following a Jazz festival tour with Duane Andrews, will be performing during the Sound Symposium (July 3-13). www.patrickboyle.ca AP
