“Boneshower” by Pinwermz

Ok so it seems I’m on a bit of a rap kick this week. Monday I featured MC Elling Lien, Tuesday it was late 90’s rap rock trio Trimmed Naval Beef and today’s track comes to us from RPM rap duo Pinwermz. As I’ve already mentioned, I’m a fan of rappers that go their own way and Pinwermz do just that. The group consists of MC Lace Sleevz (AKA Rebecca Cohoe) and POX (AKA Ian Murphy). Ian and Rebecca have completed RPM albums before as the indie-pop outfit Pet Legs but this year decided to change it up and do a rap album under a new alias.

Pinwermz self-titled RPM album features 13 tracks of unique hip-hop/rap inspired music. There’s also a healthy dose of humour throughout the record, another aspect that I enjoy in rap. Pinwermz display influences from every era of rap ranging from old school 80’s to very modern experimentation like today’s Massive Attack/Nine Inch Nails tinged track, “Boneshower.” You can listen to and download Pinwermz rap-tastic self-titled RPM 2012 album at the link below.
