Are you a fan of ghost stories, urban legends, and tales of terror? Of course you are. This month, you happen to be in luck, with not one, but three spooky storytelling events.
The Newfoundland Paranormal Society is hosting a night of ghost stories on the 13th at the Crow’s Nest. The just-plain-normal are also invited to share their best spine-tingling yarns. It starts at 7:30pm and costs $3.
From October 25 to 28, storyteller-in-chief Dale Jarvis is hosting Come Into My Parlour: An Evening of Victorian Ghost Stories at the almost-certainly-haunted Newman Wine Vaults. Gothic, and Victorian attire is encouraged, beginning at 8pm each night. Cost is $20 with a glass of port, $15 without.
Rounding out the trio of terror is Mysteries, Monsters & Moonlight, part of the Storytelling Festival. You can turn your ghost stories into cash money in the storys lam, with a $150 prize for the best story. MM&M goes October 26 at the Ship, at 9pm.
