What’s better than the spooky, ambient music of Timber Timbre? The spooky, ambient music of Timber Timbre resonating through the sanctified acoustic wonderland of Cochrane Street United Church, that’s what.
The Ontario-based folksters’ fourth full-length record Creep on Creepin’ On was short-listed for the 2011 Polaris Music Prize, losing to the Arcade Fire-sized elephant in the room. Their St. John’s appearance is one of a string of great Mightypop shows going off this fall.
Timber Timbre will be joined by East of Empire, the little RPM project that could, who just picked up a mittful of Music NL Awards noms. It all happens October 22 at Cochrane Street United. Tickets are $16, and are available at Fred’s and O’Brien’s.
