Hot Ticket: John Southworth, December 11

If the end of fall is getting you down, you might be considering going southward, but really you should go John Southworth. The British-born, Toronto-based songwriter has a warm, breezy, expansive sound that defies easy categorization. His songs meander through some familiar territory though—think a less navel-gazey Cass McCombs and a higher-fi Sparklehorse and you’re in the ballpark. John Southworth plays The Ship at 9pm. Tickets are $10.

“think a less navel-gazey Cass McCombs and a higher-fi Sparklehorse”
I have no idea what that means.
Are either of those soft drinks?
