Shoddy spelling, gruesome grammar, disorderly crayon scrawls serving as illustrations, and covers made from lopsided but lovingly-folded construction paper—these are the unmistakable hallmarks of children’s writing. What it lacks in polish, kids’ writing more than makes up for in wide-eyed flights of undiluted imagination. This month’s installment the variety series Words in Edgewise invites people to share stuff they wrote before long division and the water cycle squeezed in and made the world a little less fun.
Child’s Play starts at 8pm, at Eastern Edge Gallery, 72 Harbour Drive. Admission is by pay-what-you-can donation.
