Winter’s gone on too long—we’re all close to the edge.
Well, if you’re ready to go overboard completely, then Friday night at the Ship is your time to get on like a sailor in Shanghai, ‘cause the Coast Guard will be there to sort you out. The Toronto-based-but-all-Newfoundlander indie rock group is coming back to release their debut EP in the city where it all started. It’s been two years since Rhiannon Thomas, Jimmy Rose, Dennis Keough and Justin Mahoney left town, and they’ve been busy playing shows (alongside bands like Divine Right, Wintersleep, The Joel Plaskett Emergency, and Matt Mays and El Torpedo), hitting festivals (NXNE, Halifax Pop Explosion), and recording ever since.
