Hot Summer Music: Windom Earle & BA Johnston –July 12 & July 13

Windom Earle

Halifax’s Windom Earle take their name from Agent Dale Cooper’s nemesis on David Lynch’s oddball 90s TV masterpiece Twin Peaks. And, like the television show, the band’s songs are a series of strange, discrete moments that make up a mesmerizing whole. They’re primarily an instrumental synthpop band and cleave frequently to Lynchian levels of weirdness. Windom Earle are playing a two-off of dates at The Ship this summer with fellow east-coast weirdo BA Johnston. On July 12th, they’re playing with local support from Cafeteria, and on July 13th they’re playing with Texas Chainsaw. Tickets are $8.
